Amazing Grace is one of Mission Life’s newest child centers, established in February 2021 during a Mission Life team visit to Colombia. Located in the coffee region, the population of Genova is around 11,000. The town is nestled in the Andes mountains, about 114 miles west of Bogota. There are around 1,400 school-aged children there. Families live either in town or in the outlying rural areas. Many parents work long hours as farmers, leaving little time for their children. The town is in the early growth period of coffee production, and like many areas of Colombia, it is dedicated to putting all of its resources toward a profitable coffee industry. 

You can really make a difference as a sponsor for these children. Through your sponsorship, your child will receive daily meals, tutoring, help with school supplies, activities, sports, and instruction in Christian values and principles to support their social, physical, and spiritual development. It will change not only their life but yours as well as you develop a meaningful relationship, one that can be shared with your whole family.

Pastor Juan David was asked to lead his congregation in 2020. He and his team began the hard work of creating the children’s ministry. Community leaders agree the town’s children face a variety of social issues, and they fully support Amazing Grace. Juan David says the timing of the partnership with Mission Life is a gift from God and a blessing for the community.
