2022 Event Highlights
One Day of Impact
Over sixty golfers and eighteen sponsors joined Mission Life for a beautiful day of golf at Candia Woods Golf Links for our 2nd Annual Golf Tournament!
Teams started rolling in around 8 Monday morning to enjoy a continental breakfast along with Mission Life’s Cafecito Cafe experience featuring our quality Colombian coffee.
In addition to the air cannon, we added a few fun challenges this year to bring awareness to difficulties children at our centers face. For example, at hole 14, golfers were asked to remove one shoe to highlight that many of the children we support have only one pair of shoes. Our sponsorships help to support the purchase of school uniforms and new shoes. Other challenges included not using a driver at the longest hole as well as being blindfolded at another.
We crowned a new winner this year! The course manager tallied the scores and Zack Saunders and his team at Fairway Mortgage were declared the winning team! And it appears a rivalry may be in the works here. Last year’s winners, The Title Team came in only a few strokes behind!
A huge thank you goes out to all of our sponsors, including Event Sponsor, Fairway Mortgage, all of our teams and volunteers who helped to make this another successful tournament. The event brought in just over 20 thousand dollars in donations that will go toward helping children in need!
